The drive belt for the Bissell PowerForce Compact and AeroSwift platform, part 1604895. It carries the motor's turn across to the brush roll, and it is the part standing between a vacuum that agitates carpet and one that only moves air.
Belts announce themselves. Hot rubber is the smell, a brush roll stopped dead while the motor runs on is the symptom, and hair wound tight at the roller ends is often the cause, because a bound roller loads the belt until it glazes, stretches and lets go.
This one covers the Bissell 3130 and 23T7 machines. Clear the roller ends and check the brush spins freely by hand before the new belt goes on, or you will be doing this again shortly. Compare old against new as well, since a stretched belt looks perfectly intact and still slips under load.
