Bissell Switch - 8975

Product details
The power switch from the Bissell 8975, part 1601205, is the same rocker Bissell fitted across a long run of its uprights and deep cleaners. It is a mechanical contact and it wears out like one.
The failure is unmistakable once you know it. The machine cuts out when the handle is nudged, needs the switch held or wiggled to keep running, or refuses to switch off cleanly. Arcing across worn contacts causes it, and it gets worse quickly rather than levelling off.
Besides the 8975, it covers the 3590 and 3595 series, the 6590 machines, the 71Y7 family, the 44M3, 46E5, 53F8, 67F8, 73G8, 82H1, 84G9, 95P1, 9V00 and 9V03, along with the 1739, 20Q9, 21K3, 22C1 and 26T5. Unplug the machine before you open the housing.
