We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. The access plate is the bottom cover on a Bissell PowerForce Helix bagless upright, the panel you unclip to reach the brush roll and belt. Part 2038073 replaces it when the tabs snap off.
That is almost always the failure. The plate is thin, the retaining tabs take the strain every time the cover goes back on, and once one breaks the brush roll no longer sits tight in its cradle. You get a loose, rattling roll, a belt that walks off its pulley, and air escaping at the nozzle instead of pulling through the carpet.
It fits the PowerForce Helix bagless uprights 1240 and 12B1 along with their lettered variants, and the Big Green BGU1937 commercial upright. The plate clips on exactly like the original, so it is a two-minute job with the machine tipped back.
