SEBO Right-Hand Shaft for the Duo, Right-Hand Thread

Right side, right-hand thread: SEBO keeps the two consistent on the Duo so that the drive tightens itself rather than working loose. Part 3035 is the right-hand shaft, identified at position 61 of the parts diagram as the right-hand-thread item, with the bridge at 60, part 3039, in front of it and the complete right-hand gear wheel assembly at 62, part 3021, mounted immediately after.

A shaft that has picked up scoring, a bent section or a damaged thread will never let the bearings or gears sit true again, and everything mounted on it wears at an angle from that point on. Grinding noise and visible runout when the assembly is turned by hand both point here, as does a gear that keeps loosening no matter how carefully it is set. Because the thread is what holds the stage together, a chewed thread is reason enough to renew the shaft even when the rest of it looks serviceable.

The left-hand shaft is a separate number, 3037, and carries a left-hand thread to match its side of the machine, so match the position on the drawing before ordering. Whatever comes off the shaft should go back in the same order, and the spacer 3036 and spacer washer 0149 are easy to mislay during the strip-down.
