SEBO Swivel Neck Release Bu...

Product details

Light gray is the finish used on the pale swivel necks, and part 1737HG is that version of the release button, supplied together with the leaf spring that gives it its snap. Get the colour wrong and the repair works but looks obviously patched.

Mechanically the job is simple and the failure is always the same. Thumb pressure on the button deflects the flat spring underneath it, the locking tab pulls clear, and the neck lets go of whatever it is holding. When the spring cracks or takes a permanent set, the button either stays pressed in where it lands or needs far more force than it used to before anything happens. Owners often describe it as the head having become stiff to remove, when in truth the head is fine and the spring is finished.

SEBO identifies the piece at position 117 in the FELIX parts diagram, listed there explicitly as the light gray release button. Colour is the only thing separating this from its darker sibling, so match it to the neck already on the machine rather than to the tool it holds.

  • Fits: SEBO FELIX Premium
  • Fits power heads: ET-1 Power Heads (with switch), ET-1 Power Heads (without switch) and ET-C Power Heads
  • Colour: light gray
  • Supplied as: button plus its leaf spring
  • Diagram position: 117 on the FELIX drawing
  • Part number: 1737HG — 1737GS is the gray black equivalent
  • Related part: light gray release button cap 1738HG for ET-C power heads

One further check before ordering: if the button itself is intact and simply stiff, the cause is often nothing more than compacted fibre in the recess. A spring that has genuinely failed gives itself away by the absence of any push-back at all under the thumb, and no amount of cleaning brings that back.

Genuine SEBO from an authorized dealer, generally on its way in 2–5 business days. Seat the spring in its channel before pressing the button home, hold the assembly square as it goes in, and test the release several times so you know the tab is dropping cleanly into its keeper.
