This genuine OEM bag retainer spring holds the outer cloth bag securely to the body of the Oreck XL9300 series upright. Its tension keeps the bag anchored so it stays sealed against the fill tube during operation.
A spring that has broken or lost tension lets the bag detach or sag, which reduces suction and releases dust as air bypasses the seal. Fitting a fresh spring returns a firm hold and a clean, sealed bag.
