This genuine OEM Kenmore ornamental plate (Part #KC21TEDCZ000) fits models 31230, 81614, BC4026, BC4027, DU3017, and DU3018. The plate is a finishing panel that mounts to the body, covering a section of the housing and completing its outer appearance.
An ornamental plate that is cracked, scuffed, or missing leaves the housing looking incomplete and can expose the surface it was meant to cover. Fitting the correct OEM plate restores the finished panel and protects the area beneath it.
