This genuine OEM Kenmore lower plate (Part #KC27ADWJZV07) fits the Kenmore BU1005, 116.30620410, 116.31140310, and 116.31140311. The plate forms the underside of the cleaning nozzle, setting the brush-to-floor distance and shielding the internal nozzle components.
A cracked or warped lower plate throws off that spacing, causing uneven pickup and letting debris slip out the bottom. Some worn plates also drag or scratch. A flat replacement plate restores correct carpet contact and clean, even results.
