This genuine OEM Kenmore furniture guard (Part #KC10ADWCZV06) is the nozzle bumper for the Kenmore 21814. It rings the power nozzle to cushion the contact when the head meets furniture legs, walls, and baseboards.
A nozzle bumper that has hardened, cracked, or broken off stops absorbing those knocks, so the head scuffs furniture and trim and chips its own edges. Fitting the correct OEM guard restores the soft buffer and lets the nozzle work close to edges without marking them.
