This genuine OEM Kenmore dirt cup assembly fits the DS4090 cordless stick vacuum. On this bagless machine, the dirt cup collects debris pulled in through the nozzle and holds it until you empty it.
A cracked or poorly sealing dirt cup lets fine dust escape and can break the seal that keeps suction strong at the nozzle. Latches and gaskets also wear, so the cup may no longer lock into the body cleanly. A correct replacement cup restores a tight seal and clean, spill-free emptying.
