This genuine OEM Kenmore beater bar brush assembly (part 21814) restores carpet agitation on the Kenmore canister models 116.23120410C, 151.23701610, 125.21814610 (Elite 21814), and 116.21814411. The bar rotates to loosen dirt and debris so the airflow can draw it up from the carpet.
When the bristles wear or the bar no longer agitates the fibers effectively, deep-cleaning performance falls off. Regular cleaning of the brush roll extends its life and spares the motor from strain. Once the bristles look frayed or fail to reach the carpet, a replacement brings the agitation back.
