This genuine OEM brush cap (Part #36315004) fits Hoover models C1431010, C1433, C1433010, C1631, C1632, and CH50000, along with the Royal CR50075. It caps and retains the end of the brushroll within the housing.
A cracked or lost cap lets the brushroll slide sideways in its seat, which pulls the belt out of alignment and can shred it or leave uneven tracks in the carpet. A sound cap holds the roll centered so the belt runs true.
