This genuine OEM Hoover roller lifter assembly (part #440007796) fits the CH54013, CH54015, CH54113, CH54115, CH95413, and CH95415. The lifter raises and lowers the brushroll so it engages the floor at the correct height.
When the lifter wears or breaks, the brushroll may not seat properly against the carpet, which leads to uneven cleaning and poor agitation. A stuck lifter can also leave the roller too high or too low for the surface. Replacing it restores correct brush engagement.
