Spin Scrub is Hoover's counter-rotating brush system, and this is the brush block that carries it, Hoover part 440015239.
The brushes are the reason these machines clean rather than just rinse. As the bristles shorten, the block stops reaching down between carpet fibres and starts working on the surface only. The carpet comes up wet, the recovery tank looks respectable, and the traffic lanes are still there when it dries. Hair and thread wound around the block make it worse, loading the drive and slowing the brushes even before the bristles are worn out.
The block fits the Hoover CH68000, FH68000, FH68010, FH68020, FH68040DI, FH68050 and FH68060. Cut away anything wrapped around the shaft while the block is out, since that drag is hard on the belt as well as the brushes.
