Part 112569S is the mounting screw that holds the foot switch assembly to the base of a Kirby 1CR or 2CB. One small fastener, but it is what keeps the switch from moving when you press it.
Screws in this position corrode or strip their threads, and on machines of this age the original is often missing entirely after a previous repair. The result is a foot switch that rocks or shifts under your foot, works intermittently, or refuses to make contact at all until you press it at just the right angle.
Fitting the correct screw puts the switch back on a solid mount. It threads into the original point, so nothing else has to change. Unplug the vacuum before working around the switch, and replace the screw rather than reusing one with damaged threads.
