The F79 exhaust HEPA filter, part 440004274, is built for the Dirt Devil UD70250. It sits at the exhaust vent rather than ahead of the motor, filtering the air the vacuum releases back into the room after it has already passed through the dirt cup and pre-motor stages.
Fits the Dirt Devil UD70250. Because this filter's job is exhaust air quality rather than protecting the motor, a clogged one shows up differently than a clogged pre-motor filter: airflow can still feel strong at the nozzle while the exhaust carries a stronger dust smell, or the motor works harder and runs louder as it pushes air through a filter that has gone dense with fine particles.
Once it has visibly grayed or the vacuum's exhaust airflow feels weaker than it should, replace it rather than continuing to run the machine on it. Check it at the same time you change the dirt cup or bag, since exhaust filters tend to get overlooked when the more visible dirt cup is what gets emptied regularly.
