SEBO Cover Release for AUTO...

Product details
Press the release, and either the cover opens or it does not. When it stops responding — or worse, when it lets go on its own halfway through a room — the fault is almost always this small moulded catch rather than anything behind it. SEBO lists it as 5306DG, finished in dark gray to match the AUTOMATIC X1 and X2 housing.
The catch takes a firm, deliberate push every time the compartment is opened, which over several years of bag changes is a great many cycles on a few millimetres of plastic. The legs that give it its spring craze first, so the click softens before anything visibly breaks; then a leg snaps and the catch either jams or stops retaining the cover. Replacing the release rather than the whole cover assembly is the contained repair, and it restores the definite click that tells you the cover is properly home.
Fitment is the SEBO AUTOMATIC X1 and AUTOMATIC X2. Behind the cover sits the filter bag — 5093AM in SEBO's Ultra specification for these machines — so a catch that has been holding the cover imperfectly is worth checking against the bag seating at the same time, since a cover that never quite closes flush leaves the compartment less than airtight.
- Part number 5306DG — cover release catch
- Colour and finish: dark gray
- Fits the SEBO AUTOMATIC X1 and AUTOMATIC X2
- Job: latches the compartment cover shut and releases it for bag changes
- Replace when the click has gone soft, the catch jams, or the cover springs open in use
- Related number: Ultra filter bag 5093AM for the compartment behind it
One catch is supplied, in the dark gray finish only. Searches for an X1 cover latch, an AUTOMATIC X2 bag cover release, or a vacuum cover catch that will no longer click shut all lead to this part.
Genuine SEBO cover release from an authorized dealer, shipping in 2–5 business days.
