This bag door, part C625-0107, closes the bag compartment on a run of Carpet Pro uprights, including the CMP3N, CMP3QD, CMP3T, CPU3N, CPU3QD, and CPU4N/CPU4T, and on the Titan T4000.2. A tight-closing door keeps the compartment sealed during operation, which is what lets the machine pull the suction it is capable of rather than losing air through a gap at the latch.
A cracked door, a broken latch, or a door that no longer pulls tight against the machine lets air bypass the bag rather than pulling through it, and suction drops even though nothing else on the machine has changed. Because the leak sits at the seal rather than in the motor or the hose, it is easy to chase the wrong problem first.
Replacing the door restores the seal directly. Check that the new door sits flush and even all the way around before latching it, since a door held slightly open at one corner leaks in exactly the way the old damaged one did.
