This genuine OEM bottom plate fits the Windsor XP18 commercial upright. The plate is the underside panel that surrounds the brush roll, setting brush height and forming the sealed chamber where the agitator meets the carpet.
A bottom plate that is cracked, warped, or worn thin lets air leak in around the brush, which drops suction right at floor level and can scuff hard floors. Fitting a sound plate re-establishes the airflow seal and correct brush-to-carpet contact for full pickup.
