Part 6165 is the replacement suction motor for C-series machines, and it ships alongside the 05101S carbon brush set so the wearing electrical contacts go in fresh at the same time. One number serves the C1.1, the C2.1 and the C3.1.
Carbon brushes are consumed steadily over a motor's life, and a tired motor almost always has tired brushes beside it. Supplying the two together avoids pulling the machine apart twice. SEBO also sells 05101S on its own for machines whose motor is otherwise healthy, so a brush change alone is an option earlier in the machine's life.
The motor does not bolt straight to the shell. It is suspended on a front mounting (6173) and a rear mounting (6189), with the rubber mounting pair 6188ER cushioning it, and it sits behind the motor cover 6196 with its seal 6306. Any of those can be worth renewing while the machine is open, because a new motor dropped onto perished mounts will sound rough from the first minute. Fitting a motor is work for someone comfortable with mains-powered equipment; if that is not you, hand the job to a service technician and leave the canister unplugged in the meantime.
