Part F265 is a replacement filter for the Eureka EF6 filter position, pairing HEPA media with a layer of activated charcoal in a single cartridge.
HEPA media captures the fine dust and allergens that pass through the bag or dust cup, while the charcoal layer works alongside it to cut down on the stale exhaust smell that a vacuum picks up from pet hair, carpet dust and everyday use. As the media loads with fine particles, airflow through it narrows, so a saturated filter both weakens suction and lets exhaust air smell worse rather than better. The charcoal has a working life of its own and stops absorbing odor once it has taken on all it can hold, which is why a filter that still looks usable can already be doing nothing for the smell.
