This replacement upper fan spacer for the Rainbow D4C (Part #R2680B) sets the clearance above the fan in the motor assembly. Correct spacing holds the fan in position so air flows efficiently through the motor for full suction.
When a spacer wears, cracks, or shifts, the fan can sit too high or too low, bringing on unusual noise, vibration, or reduced suction. Bad spacing also loads the motor and accelerates wear on the fan and bearings. Fitting the correct upper spacer restores proper clearance and smooth running.
