This replacement air-driven motor unit (Part #6490003934) is made for the Sanyo SC-18. The turbine motor spins the brush roll using suction airflow instead of electricity, agitating carpet as air passes through the tool.
As the turbine bearings wear or debris clogs the vanes, the brush roll slows or stops even though suction still reaches the tool, leaving carpet under-agitated. Installing a fresh turbine unit returns the brush roll to full speed and restores effective pickup.
