This replacement trip lever fits the Hoover 1340 and restores the handle-release action on your upright. Pressing the lever reclines the handle so you can lower the vacuum to clean under furniture and along baseboards.
When the lever cracks or its return breaks, the handle locks in one position and the vacuum can no longer be tilted back for low work. A fresh trip lever brings back smooth, reliable reclining at a tap of the foot.
