Keeping the bag compartment sealed is the whole job of the Titan Blue Dust Cover for the T3000 upright vacuum, an OEM replacement part for covers that have cracked, warped, or stopped latching. Without a sound cover, dust escapes during operation and the bag can shift out of its proper position.
The symptoms of a failed dust cover are easy to spot. Suction drops because air is leaking around the bag rather than being pulled through it, and a fine layer of dust appears wherever the vacuum has been working. Replacing the cover restores proper containment and brings suction back to normal.
