This 3-prong swivel assembly is a replacement hose connector for Kenmore canister vacuums, joining the power head hose to the vacuum body. The three-prong design carries both airflow and the electrical connection for the power nozzle, so a worn or cracked swivel shows up two ways: reduced suction and a power nozzle that cuts in and out.
If the hose connection feels loose in its socket, leaks air at the joint, or the powerhead only runs when the hose sits at a certain angle, this assembly is the likely fix. It replaces part numbers 591004544 and 4370563.
