This green switch pedal fits Hoover Celebrity and Dimension upright vacuums and controls the brush roll on and off function. Pressing the pedal engages or releases brush agitation, and the green color marks it apart from the matching red pedal on the machine.
A broken or cracked pedal makes brush engagement unreliable or impossible, so you cannot switch the brush roll on for carpet or off for bare floors and delicate surfaces. A fresh pedal restores full manual control over brush operation.
