This replacement switch actuator (Part #R11964) is the main power actuator for the Rainbow E2 Type 12 and Type 23 (e2 Gold) two-speed canister, covering serial numbers 1000000 through 1500000. It is the mechanical link that transfers your push at the switch to the internal power contacts.
When the actuator wears or breaks, the vacuum may fail to turn on or lose proper speed control, and the switch can feel loose or stuck. Fitting a fresh actuator restores a firm, responsive switch action and dependable two-speed operation.
