This replacement Kenmore suction inlet is the port where the hose or wand connects to the airflow path on the Kenmore 116.23110800C, 116.23110801C, 116.28014700, 116.28015700, 116.34955900C, 116.53110800C, 116.53110801C, 116.58014700, and 116.58015700. It channels suction from the machine into the attached cleaning tools.
A cracked or warped inlet lets air leak at the connection, so suction drops even when the motor runs strong. Debris can also lodge in a damaged port. Fitting a sound inlet reseals the joint and returns full airflow to the hose and wand.
