Product details

Part F641 is a HEPA filter listed for the Dyson V15 Detect stick vacuum.

  • Part: F641, HEPA filter
  • Fits: Dyson V15 Detect
  • Replace when: runtime or suction has dropped, or exhaust air smells dusty

When a filter like this loads up with fine dust, runtime and suction both fall off even though the battery is charging normally, and exhaust air can pick up a faint dusty smell it did not have before. That combination points at the filter well before it points at the battery or the motor.

A filter that has become the bottleneck will not respond to a battery reset or a fresh charge, because airflow is being restricted rather than power. Loading also happens through the depth of the media rather than on the visible surface, so a filter that still looks acceptable can already be the reason a machine feels tired.

Confirm the model marking on your V15 Detect, and compare the filter you are removing against this one for shape and depth, before ordering. If suction has not recovered after inspecting or cleaning the filter per your unit's manual, the issue is more likely elsewhere in the machine.
