This 10 inch electrostatic secondary filter fits Riccar and Simplicity uprights, including the Simplicity 6000 Series and the Symmetry line. Positioned after the bag, the secondary filter catches fine dust that gets past the first stage, protecting the motor and helping keep the exhaust air clean. The electrostatic media draws in and holds fine particles.

As this filter loads with dust, airflow drops and the motor has to work harder, which can shorten its life and weaken suction. A dirty or damaged secondary filter also lets more fine dust reach the exhaust. A fresh filter restores airflow and filtration. It replaces part numbers SF6-2 and SSF-2.
