SEBO Drive Pulley for the Duo, Diagram Position 53

Ordering a Duo pulley by its name alone rarely goes well, because SEBO lists more than one and the drawings show them at different points in the drive. Part 3013 is the pulley at position 53, sitting immediately after the motor pulley at 51, part 3014, and the ball bearing clamp at 52, part 3030, with the 5 mm drive belt at 54, part 3042, running next to it.

Pulleys fail quietly. The groove polishes smooth, the belt starts to creep under load, and the only symptom is a brush that no longer bites into pile the way it once did. There is rarely a noise to go with it until the belt has heated up and stretched, at which point the slip becomes obvious and the belt gets blamed. Replacing the pulley at the same time as a tired belt gives the drive a fresh grip on both sides of the contact, which is the only way the repair holds.

Both Duo belts are separate numbers — 3038 is the 3 mm belt and 3042 the 5 mm — so check which one runs over the pulley you are replacing before adding to the order. The other pulleys in the same drive group are 3009 at 66, 3015 at 59, 3017 at 71, 3018 at 63 and 3056 at 72, all of them Duo items and none of them a substitute for one another. A photograph of the drive before anything comes off the shafts is the surest insurance against a second order, since the sequence of pulleys, spacers and washers is easier to record than to remember.
