SEBO Cable Channel for CE12 SOFTCASE

Mains cable inside a CE12 SOFTCASE does not lie wherever it falls. It is led along a moulded channel, part 75066GS, which the CE12 SOFTCASE parts list draws at position 112.

The parts either side of it tell you what the channel is for. The 2-wire mains connector 8177ER sits at position 10 and the cord itself is 75031 at position 15, quoted on the sheet as 9.25 m of 2 x 17 AWG. Sealing adapter 75146 at position 6 and strain relief 1030UL at 170 deal with the cord where it enters and where it is anchored, this channel carries it at 112, and the 2-wire swivel neck cable 75117 at 113 takes over for the run into the neck, with PCB 75126ER at 120 and rocker switch 05112ER at 140 at the electrical end. Nine metres of cord is a lot of cable to keep away from moving parts, which is the whole point of the moulding.

It is easy to crack during a strip-down and easy to leave out on reassembly, and neither is harmless. Without it the cord rests against edges and mechanisms it was routed clear of, and chafed insulation becomes an intermittent or a dead machine months after the repair that caused it. Keep the three cable-management items on this machine straight while ordering: 75066GS is the routing channel, 75146 is the sealing adapter where the cord passes through the housing, and 1030UL is the strain relief that stops it being pulled back out.
