Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Suction that has faded on a machine with a fresh bag and a clear hose is usually leaking rather than failing. Air is taking a shortcut into the motor path without passing through the filtration, and one of the places it does that is the filter tube joint. Part 5289 is the seal for that joint.
SEBO catalogues it at position 25 of the 300 / 350 Mechanical exploded diagram. The rest of that page explains why the seal matters: the hose assembly sits at position 13, the pre-motor microfilter 5036AM at position 31 and the Ultra filter bag 5093AM at position 32. Everything the machine picks up travels through that sequence, and the seal is what forces it to. A perished, flattened or missing seal lets dust bypass the bag entirely, which is felt as poor pickup and seen as fine grey deposits where they have no business being.
Rubber compresses permanently over years of clamping, so a seal that looks intact can still be doing nothing. It is one of the first things to check on an older machine that has lost its edge, and one of the easiest to renew.
