This 58 inch S-type wand is a single-piece design with an ABS compression locking collar that resists chemicals and floor strippers, avoiding the pitting seen with cast metal collars. The compression lock fits tools with either 1-1/2 or 1-9/16 inch collars and works with ProTeam backpack vacuums and other commercial machines that take 1-1/2 inch wands.
A wand with a cracked collar or a worn lock cannot hold tools securely, so the joint leaks air and attachments loosen mid-clean. A metal collar that has pitted from chemicals compounds the problem. This ABS wand and collar restore a chemical-resistant, secure hold.
