This genuine OEM bottom plate assembly replaces the floor-facing plate on the Royal RY9700 upright vacuum. The bottom plate serves two roles at once. It provides the smooth surface that glides across your floors, and it frames the brush roll opening where dirt is swept into the machine.
Dents, cracks, or deep scratches in this plate cause trouble in both directions. Cleaning performance drops as the sealed nozzle geometry is lost, and a rough or sharp damaged edge can mark the very flooring you are trying to maintain.
