Built for the Beam 2250, this replacement rocker switch provides on/off control for the central vacuum. It makes and breaks the circuit to the motor from its mounting in the power unit or hose handle housing, so every start and stop passes through it.
A rocker switch that feels loose or cuts power in and out has usually developed worn or arced contacts inside, which leads to unreliable starting and, eventually, a unit that will not power up at all. Swapping in a fresh switch clears that fault and restores crisp, positive on and off operation.
