The Rainbow baffle kit assembly for the E2 canister vacuum is a genuine OEM replacement for the internal components that direct and control airflow through the machine. On a water-filtration vacuum like the Rainbow E2, the baffles are what force incoming air through the water bath properly, so they are central to both filtration and consistent suction.
A damaged or missing baffle lets air bypass the water filtration system. The result is reduced cleaning effectiveness and, more importantly for many Rainbow owners, the possibility of fine dust escaping back into the room instead of being trapped in the water basin.
