SEBO Release Button in Dark...

Product details
Press it and the catch lets go — that is the whole job of SEBO part 6083DG, the dark gray release button used across the C-series canisters. It sits in its recess in the housing, travels a short distance under thumb pressure, and returns under its own spring load.
Buttons fail quietly. The plastic stem cracks, the return grows lazy, and the catch either refuses to open or stops locking properly, which makes routine servicing an irritation. A replacement restores a short, clean throw and a definite click. Behind the button sits a foam pad, SEBO 6128, that flattens with age and is worth renewing at the same time — a new button on a collapsed pad still feels vague.

Two symptoms send people looking for a SEBO C series release button: a cover that will not let go however hard it is pressed, and one that no longer stays shut once closed. Both point at this part or the small group around it, and all four numbers above come apart in the same short job.
The rest of the release group is catalogued in the same dark gray family and comes apart in one sitting: 6036DG is the cover release with its seal, 6039 the bearing cover that carries it, 6027ER the pin with screw and washer, and 6045 the spring behind the attachment cover. Working through them together is far quicker than chasing one loose catch at a time.
