This gray reducing cuff steps a 1 1/2 inch hose down to a 1 1/4 inch wand or tool. It bridges the two sizes so smaller wands and accessories seat on a larger hose.
A cracked or worn cuff leaves a loose joint that leaks air and drops suction at the tool, and it can let the wand pull loose during use. A sound cuff gives a snug, sealed connection between the hose and the smaller fitting.
