This replacement Panasonic agitator pulley (part #AMC29S-F00) fits 661 and 5510 Series machines. The pulley carries the belt on the brush roll and converts the belt's motion into agitator rotation.

As the pulley wears smooth or cracks, the belt begins to slip and the brush roll slows or stalls, weakening the machine's grip on carpet fibers. A slipping belt also overheats and fails early. Installing a fresh pulley restores solid belt contact and full brush roll speed.
