SEBO Switch Protection Film for DART Uprights

Item 39 on SEBO's DART parts drawing is a protection film, and 7142 is that item. It is the thin printed film covering the switch face on a DART upright, the barrier separating that control from the dust, the grit and the fingertips arriving at it several times a day.

The drawing groups the switch hardware together a few positions earlier, which is the quickest way to understand what the film is protecting. The sliding button is item 30, the switch frame is item 31, and the two-pole rocker switch itself is item 32, carried under part number 05138. The film seals the visible face of that assembly. While it is intact, nothing reaches the switch mechanism but the pressure of a finger. Once it tears, lifts at a corner or goes cloudy, fine debris and moisture start working their way in behind it, and a switch is a considerably more involved replacement than the film that was keeping it clean.
