Carbon brushes are the wearing contacts that carry current into a vacuum motor's commutator, and they are the reason a motor that sounds finished sometimes only needs its cheapest consumable replaced. ProTeam supplies them as part 841933, a pack of two, one for each side of the motor, for the Lamb and Wolong motors used in the GoFit 3, GoFit 6, GoFit 6 Plus and GoFit 10 backpacks and in the Super Coach Pro 6 and Super Coach Pro 10.
Worn brushes announce themselves. The motor sparks visibly through the vents, loses power under load, becomes hard to start, or runs with a rough uneven note. Left to wear right down, the spring carrier reaches the commutator and turns a cheap repair into a motor replacement.
Replace both together. A motor running one new brush against one worn one wears the new one unevenly.
