This replacement Dyson DC41 upright pre-filter assembly installs in the DC41 and also fits the DC65, DC66, UP13, UP20, and UP30. Positioned ahead of the motor, it captures dust and debris that make it past the primary cyclone stage before that air reaches the motor.
A pre-motor filter that is caked with dust chokes airflow, which makes the motor run hotter and can trigger loss of suction or thermal cutout. Fitting a clean pre-filter protects the motor and brings suction back to where it should be.
