Made as a replacement Dyson pre-motor filter, this piece fits the DC07 upright in its Animal, Low Reach, and Full Gear versions. It installs upstream of the motor, trapping dust that slips past the primary cyclone before the air reaches the motor windings.

A pre-motor filter thick with dust restricts airflow, which drives up motor temperature and pulls down suction. Swapping in a clean filter protects the motor from that debris and returns the machine to full pickup.
