Product details
Part X1272 supplies the entire backplate assembly for a Sanitaire SC412 or SC420 backpack: back plate and harness supplied as one connected unit. The same part also carries the number B352-1314, and it fits the SC412B badged by both Eureka and Sanitaire, plus the Powr-Flite PF712VC.
This assembly is the whole interface between the operator's body and the machine's weight, so any single point of failure in it changes how the pack feels to wear. Fraying webbing, a buckle that has given out, or a plate cracked at one of the strap anchors will all move the load off the hips and onto the shoulders, and an operator typically notices that shift within the opening thirty minutes of wearing it rather than at the end of a shift.
Because it ships fully assembled, there is no mixing new straps onto an old plate or matching worn hardware piece by piece. The complete worn unit comes off and the complete new one goes on, so every part of the rig starts from the same condition.
After fitting it, run the shoulder and waist adjusters through their entire range before putting the machine back into rotation, confirming the assembly sits flush against the operator's back and that nothing binds at either end of the strap travel.
