The collar that frames the mains fitting on a C-series canister is a serviceable item in its own right, catalogued by SEBO as 6007DG in dark gray.
It holds that fitting square in its opening and absorbs the sideways load applied every time a lead is pushed home or tugged out. Plastic worked on for years eventually splits at a clip, or spreads far enough that the retaining tabs stop gripping, and from then on the fitting is free to rock in the panel. What moves next is the wiring behind it, because loads the housing used to carry are now being fed straight into the connection. That makes the repair which merely looks tidier also the one that protects the electrics: a fitting held firm is a fitting that stops working its own terminals loose.
