The Plastiflex SV8001 new construction mounting plate is a central vacuum installation fitting used to rough in wall inlet locations while a house is still open to the studs. Mounting the plate during construction gives each future inlet valve a solid, correctly positioned anchor point in the wall.
Like every fitting in a built-in vacuum system, it needs to form an airtight connection to the standard 2 inch PVC piping, because a leak at any joint bleeds suction from every inlet downstream. Cement all connections properly so the finished whole-home central vacuum delivers full suction power at every wall inlet.
This plate is compatible with Plastiflex model 0650. Installers planning a central vacuum rough-in will find the matching inlet valves, elbows, and couplings elsewhere in our central vacuum section.
