The Plastiflex SV8052 short 90-degree elbow is a compact central vacuum fitting for making a right-angle turn where space is tight, such as inside a stud bay directly behind an inlet valve. Where a long sweep elbow will not physically fit, the short 90 handles the turn in minimal depth.
Because tight-radius turns can collect debris, installers generally reserve this fitting for the last bend behind an inlet and use sweep elbows through the rest of the run. Wherever it goes, the connection must be leak-free; use solvent-welded or slip-fit connections as appropriate for your piping so suction stays strong at every wall inlet in the home.
