SH130R01 rebuilds the powered end of a Plastiflex central vacuum hose that uses a pigtail lead, six feet long. Rather than a full hose, it supplies what you need to redo that end without disturbing the length of hose you already own.
That coiled lead seats in the wall inlet, and it absorbs more abuse than any other section of the hose: pulled free at odd angles, stepped on, flexed thousands of times at the exact same two bends over years of use. Once it finally gives out, the power unit refuses to start from that inlet, although the hose body and handle both test fine on their own.
Rebuilding that end runs far cheaper than buying a whole new hose, which is the reason this repair exists as its own part. Shut off power to the unit before touching the low-voltage wiring at all, and lay the new lead alongside the old one first so you know how the two compare before anything comes apart.
Rule the rest of the system out before you order. If the unit also refuses to start from a second inlet, the trouble sits in the wiring back to the power unit rather than in this lead, and a new pigtail will change nothing. That check costs nothing and saves fitting a part that was never the problem.
